Certification & EMC Engineer - Help Power the Future of Radiology
About Us
We’re a fast-moving healthtech startup on a mission to redefine radiology by innovating on medical imaging - and we’re just getting started.
Born out of the highly successful Danish company 3Shape, we’ve inherited world-class engineering DNA and paired it with a bold vision:
To unlock the full potential of radiology so that every patient, everywhere, can access high-quality, safe, and efficient care.
But we’re not doing it alone. We collaborate directly with healthcare professionals, building cutting-edge technology that helps them work smarter, diagnose earlier, and care better - without compromise.
What makes us different?
We’re a tight-knit team of experts, deep in knowledge and high in impact. Small enough that every voice is heard, but experienced enough to punch far above our weight. Here, your work won’t get lost in layers of management. It will help shape the future of medical imaging.
We’re looking for a Certification Engineer to join our growing team. If you’re excited by the idea of owning critical processes and bringing life-saving technology into the hands of clinicians - this is your moment.
Let’s build something that truly matters. Together.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain EMC and regulatory requirements relevant to radiology and X-ray devices throughout the product lifecycle—from design through deployment.
- Source and manage external test facilities and certification partners for compliance testing, including EMC, electrical safety, and performance standards aligned with medical device regulations. This may include occasional travel to testing sites or certification bodies to support key milestones.
- Review and analyse system and component-level designs to ensure compliance with international standards (e.g. IEC 60601 family, ISO 14971, etc.) and industry best practices.
- Lead verification and validation activities, including test planning, pretesting preparation, in-house execution (where feasible), and documentation to demonstrate conformity with applicable requirements (e.g., EMC, safety, performance).
- Act as the subject matter expert for certification, providing hands-on engineering support across hardware and systems teams with a focus on compliance and risk mitigation.
What will make you stand out?
- You have an Engineering degree in electronics, or another relevant field of engineering.
- You have experience with medical electrical system certification, including EMC and electrical safety, including practical and hands-on EMC experience.
- You have documented expertise within the standards governing medical devices, e.g. IEC 60601 family, ISO 14971, etc.).
- You have excellent communication and documentation skills -English at a business level, and generally comfortable in an international atmosphere.
- Some understanding of the medical imaging product domain, e.g Dental X-ray or CT scanning devices, will be a plus.
What will make you successful?
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment where ambiguity and unexpected challenges are part of the journey - not roadblocks.
- You’re a collaborative team player who communicates openly and builds trust across disciplines.
- You’re naturally curious, quick to learn, and energised by diving into new challenges and technologies.
What do we offer?
We’re not just offering a job - we’re offering a chance to be part of something transformative. As we build out a new frontier in radiology and X-ray technology, you’ll have the opportunity to grow with us, shape our journey, and make a real difference in healthcare. Here’s what you can expect when you join our team:
- Meaningful challenges in a dynamic, fast-growing company shaping the future of radiology on a global scale.
- A collaborative, expert team of skilled professionals who are passionate about solving complex problems together.
- The opportunity to influence groundbreaking technology, contributing directly to the next generation of 3D dental and medical X-ray solutions.
- A culture of openness and integrity, where feedback flows freely and everyone’s voice counts.
- A competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects the value you bring.
- A rare chance to help build something from the ground up—both technically and commercially—as we expand into an exciting new frontier.
